The family have a spooktacular display set up and are accepting donations for the annual campaign. First up in the fundraising events is a stop to Crantham Crescent in Stittsville to see Chelsea Walton and Scott Muir’s Halloween Skele-Bration. The kickoff event also drew attention to the upcoming events that will be taking place, raising money to buy more snowsuits for more children. The campaign kicked off with a special snowsuit presented to an excited four-year-old girl. Without government funding, the organization relies entirely on the generosity of businesses and individuals to financially support the important work they do. The Snowsuit Fund is powered mostly by volunteers. This year there has been an unprecedented early demand due to the current economic challenges and skyrocketing inflation rates. The Snowsuit Fund distributes 16,000 snowsuits to children 15 years old and younger who are in low-income families in our city.
